Boris Zabirokhin
Attended the Leningrad Serov School of Art and School No. 190, a preparatory school for the Mukhina Higher College of Industrial Design in Leningrad, before going on to studying at the college itself. Graduated in 1970.
Painter (in oil and tempera) and printmaker. Has illustrated more than 30 books and created more than 100 ex-libris. Has taken part in numerous Russian and international exhibitions and competitions in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Norway, Finland, France and Japan. Head of the Children of Arkhip Kuinji creative association. Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia.
His works can be found in the collections of the State Hermitage, Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the National Library of Russia, as well as in museums in Bristol, London, the Vatican, Gabrovo (Bulgaria), Thessaloniki and Prague, and in private collections in Russia, the USA and Europe.
